Gamer Grub

6 Oct

Gamers all around the world should agree that sometimes you don’t want to hit that pause button for a snack. The Gamer Grub team created a ‘Tear and Tilt’ pouch that not only is tasty but also gives an energy boost although this isn’t exactly a healthy snack. This grub comes in four flavors Pizza, Peanut Butter and Jelly, Smores and BBQ.

Edible Reminiscence was given the opportunity to try Pizza and Peanut Butter flavors. With this product both of us decided to try it as is since it’s a trail mix and designed for simplicity. Plus we don’t think a gamer is going to be in a baking mood.

Peanut Butter & Jelly Gamer Grub

Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich packed in a pouch!?! That’s pretty interesting. Although something like this is a hit or miss kind of thing. We both agreed that this flavoring was definitely spot-on.

This package includes a blend of Peanut Butter Chips, Peanuts, Strawberries, Strawberry Jelly Chips and Sweet Bread.

Peanut Butter Chips– Tastes like Reeses peanut chips
Peanuts– A pretty good grade of peanuts
Strawberries– Gummy drops that taste like strawberry
Strawberry Jelly Chips– chopped up strawberry slices
Sweet Bread– tastes like Nutter Butter cookies

Packaging:
The packaging is creative. It showcases what is actually in the bag and goes along with the whole gamer theme. The reason we gave them 4 stars is because it was a little awkward to tilt the package and get a satisfactory amount.

Taste:
This flavor was a hit for both of us. The only thing is that it’s not really for someone who doesn’t like sweet things.

Price:
$2.99 – $3.99
Prices may vary. This flavor is definitely worth the price. Briana and Samantha would definately buy this product again.

Availability:
Gamer Grub is available anywhere from sites like ThinkGeek.com, or Hot Topic, Game Stop and etc.

Pizza Gamer Grub

Next up is for all the gamer pizza fans! Now how do they pack that entire pizza flavor inside a pouch? That’s what the team at Gamer Grub pondered and finally came out with this product. The whole point to this grub pouch is that it’s not going to leave your hands greasy and leave any keyboard crumbs.

This package includes Cheese Curls, Tomato Almonds, Sesame Sticks, Pita Chips, Fried Onions and Pizza Cashews.

Cheese Curls-Tasted just like cheese curls
Tomato Almonds– Samantha enjoyed these while Briana isn’t exactly a fan of Almonds she had to admit they taste pretty good.
Sesame Sticks– Tasted just like sesame sticks.
Pita Chips– Just taste like Pita Chips.
Fried Onions– Had an onion taste for sure.
Pizza Cashews– These were a hit or miss, But for the most part they were delish.

Packaging:
Once again we liked that whole gamer theme they had going on and the fact that they show what is inside the bag. The only thing that was a little awkward was the ‘Tear and Tilt’ feature.

Taste:
Well altogether it did resemble a pizza. Pizza was our least favorite out of the two.

Price:
$2.99 – $3.99
Given the price alone it’s a decent amount to pay for the experience. It’s definitely not something to eat every day. Just once in a while as a treat.

Availability:
Gamer Grub is available anywhere from sites like ThinkGeek.com, or Hot Topic, Game Stop and etc.

Try Again:
Samantha wouldn’t try the Pizza Flavor Grub.
Briana on the other hand might.
